When my face moisturizer ran out I decided it was time to try and make it myself. Cause ya know...I'm all about simplicity and making things from scratch. I'm not a completely organic, holistic girl. But I am definitely working on getting away from toxins and chemicals that are in everything we eat, drink and put on our skin. Cosmetics and moisturizers are some of the worst offenders.
So I did what any savvy mama would do- I googled some recipes. 😊
This lotion is my first attempt. I don't LOVE it but I do like it. I'm going to tweak it some more and keep playing with it till I get it right. But in the meantime, it definitely does the trick. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Heres what you need and how to make it:
It only has 5 ingredients and was pretty easy to make.
Homemade Facial Moisturizer
1/2 cup Coconut Oil
2 tsp. Almond Oil
1 Tbsp. Cocoa Butter, melted
5 drops Frankincense Essential Oil
5 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Put all the ingredients in the bowl of your stand mixer. Whip on medium-high speed for about 5 minutes, scraping down occasionally, until light and fluffy.
Scrap into a 4 oz mason jar.
